After leaving Parliament and Big Ben, we journeyed off on what became a very long day of walking and sight-seeing. We walked up White Hall where we saw number 10 Downing Street (where the Gordon Brown, the prime minister, lives). Bush had just recently been there. We went by the royal guards on our way to Buckingham Palace where Stepho tried to climb the gate. Mr. Daren gave the look and she knew to get down. We then walked through Queen's Park and then through Hyde Park where we then met ABC newscaster Jonathan Earl, a member of the White House press corps. (yes, THAAAT White House). He talked to the girls about Journalism and even agreed to take a picture with Danielle and Christy. One of the cameramen from Fox directed us to the hotel where the reporters were filing their stories and told us we should try to get in. WE DID (Photo 2). After this excitement, the girls went shopping on Oxford Street/Circle.
After a train ride back to BAAATH, we ate at a nice restaurant called Ha! Ha! Good food and the girls seemed to enjoy the waiter. Bed by midnight, up by six, and on to Paris!
